ANA Oyo Chair, set to review Farida Mohammed’s book
Mr Abiola Layonu, the Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Oyo State Chapter and the Director-General of the Farida Mohammed Campaign organisation, is billed to review one of the three books penned by the outgoing Vice President of ANA, Farida Mohammed.
The highly anticipated book launch event, titled “The Official Launching of Three Books & Fundraising for Sickle-cell Patients,” is proudly hosted by the Association of Nigerian Authors, in collaboration with the Niger State Government.
Scheduled to take place on 31st October, 2023, at 10:00 am, the event would unfold at the prestigious Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, Minna, Niger State.
ANA members, literature enthusiasts, and other guests are expected to gather to celebrate the literary prowess of Mohammed, whose remarkable works have captivated readers far and wide.
The three compelling books to be launched are titled Flying Arrows, Language of the Spirit, and Smiling Songs for Farida, each a testament to Farida Mohammed’s profound storytelling abilities and insightful narratives. This event not only signifies the literary achievement of the author but also emphasises the importance of giving back to the community, with fundraising efforts dedicated to supporting sickle-cell patients.
Among the distinguished guests of honour are His Excellency Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago, the Executive Governor of Niger State, Hon. Binta Mamman, Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Niger State, Hon. Hajiya Titi Auta, Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Niger State, Hon. Fatima Adamu, Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Niger State, Hon. Mrs. Elizabeth Shaba, Ministry for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Niger State, and Hon. Hadiza Idris Kuta, Honorable Commissioner for Transport, Niger State.
Additionally, the event will be graced by prominent personalities, including Senator Muh’d Sani Musa, representing Zone “B” in Niger State, and Muh’d Mahmood Abubakar, the Honorable Minister of Agriculture. The occasion will be presided over by the esteemed Royal Father of the Day, HRH Dr. Umar Faruk Bahago, the Emir of Minna, with Her Excellency, Haj. Fatima Moh’d Bago, the Wife of the Executive Governor of Niger State, serving as the esteemed Mother of the Day.
