Gombe Palliatives Committee submits report
The Gombe State Government palliatives distribution steering committee has submitted its report to the government.
Receiving the report on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, commended the committee for doing a clean job.

He also acknowledged the commitment, resilience, sacrifices and diligence of the committee in the discharge of of its mandate.
He however noted that like any human endeavour challenges might have been encountered during the distribution exercise stressing that most complaints about the exercise is emanating from opposition politicians for their selfish reasons.

The governor used the occasion to announce that arrangement is ongoing for the distribution of the share of the State’s Federal Government’s palliative as pledged by Governor Yahaya informing the committee members that their services may be required.
Presenting the report, Chairman of the Committee who doubles as Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency SEMA Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi, appreciated Governor Yahaya for according them the opportunity to serve the state in that capacity.
He also lauded the SGS for providing them needed leadership and direction leading to the successful completion of the distribution exercise.
On the challenges and recommendations of the committee the committee chairman advised government to carefully study them for implementation in similar situations in the future.
