Fuel Subsidy: Rep gives 1,605 bags of food items, fertilisers in Yobe

The member representing the Bade/Jakusko Federal Constituency, Hon Hassan Jakduwa Kaikaku, has flagged off the distribution of 1,605 assorted food items and NPK fertilisers to his constituency in Yobe State.

Speaking at the distribution of the food items and fertiliser held at Gashua, Jakduwa said that, not less than 3,210 people in his Constituency have been targeted as beneficiaries of the palliatives measure across 22 wards of Bade and Jakusko Local Government Areas.

Represented by Mallam Salisu Jawi, Hassan stated that, the distribution of the food items as palliatives is to alleviate the suffering of the people of the Constituency due to the high cost of living experienced in the country as a result of the removal of fuel subsidies.
“The food items Compresses of Millet, Maize, Sorghum, Beans and NPK fertiliser with the sole aim to cushion the hardship as a result of the regulation policy introduced by the federal government of Nigeria,” Hassan Jakduwa said.
On his part, the Chairman Palliatives Distribution Committee, Mr Yusuf Ibrahim said, they have allocated 1605 bags of assorted food items and fertiliser to Bade and Jakusko federal Constituency as directed by the lawmaker representing the Constituency.
“Each of the wards has allocated 145 bags of food and fertiliser and each of the wards has collected 40 bags of millet, 40 bags of maize, 40 bags of Sorghum, 20 bags of beans, and 5 bags of fertiliser making 145 bags per wards.
