Niger State NUJ mourns Nyaze’s exit
Nigeria Union of Journalists, Niger State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its pioneer Secretary Mr Solomon Nyaze.
In his condolence message on behalf of the Union, the State Chairman of NUJ Comrade Abu Nmodu, said the death of Solomon Nyaze has robbed the profession of a fine journalist, mentor, and a communication strategist who carved a niche for himself wherever he worked.
Nmodu a statement signed by the chapter’s Secretary Usman Chiji, recalled with nostalgia, that Late Solomon Nyaze, made an indelible mark in all his areas of assignments, citing Radio Niger, Newsline, Suleja and Tafa local Government areas as well as office of Special Adviser Political to the Governor.
The State Chairman of NUJ explained that, the deceased would be remembered for his efforts at laying a solid foundation for the growth and development of the Union, saying that he was a reference point for present practitioners and his contemporaries.
Comrade Nmodu extolled the virtues of the deceased which include hard work, simplicity, honesty, advocate of adherence to ethics of the profession and lover of peace, among different backgrounds.
The State Chairman of NUJ commiserated with the bereaved family, the people of Tafa local Government, Garam his home town and media industry over this great loss and urged them to see it as an act of God.
He then prayed God to comfort the family and grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord Jesus Christ.
