Gombe High School on Tuesday was thrown into mourning because of the untimely death of its vibrant staff, Mr Abioye Idowu George, who died at the age of 38 years.
George who was in the primary section of the school died on Tuesday morning while preparing to come to school before he was rushed to a nearby hospital in Tumfure area where the doctor confirmed him dead.
Speaking during the condolence visit, Manager of the College, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed, described the late George as vibrant, resourceful, dedicated, hard-working staff who relocated to Gombe from Abuja simply to stay with his wife that was transferred to Gombe as banker from Abuja.
Mohammed said, “It was on the premises that the young man sought employment at the College and was recruited.”
According to the Manager, George was born on 23rd April, 1986 in Osun State, and had BSc Education in Social Studies and he was a native of Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State.
The sudden death of the staff brought shock to both staff and students of the college because the deceased was at work on Monday 22nd January, 2024.
George left behind wife, parents and relations.
