In the current era, digital literacy is necessary for personal and professional development,” he said.
Pate while emphasising on the dangers of such activities and others added, “However, I must strongly advise you to avoid reckless and dangerous behaviours like engaging in examination malpractices, drugs addiction, gender-based violence, cultism, cybercrime and what is commonly known as “yahoo- yahoo” misadventures. Such seemingly lucrative but dangerous shortcuts can be destructive and stigmatising. Therefore, neither be complicit nor complacent in such behaviours. You should know that cultism and drugs have ruined many promising young people in the false hope of making them powerful and successful. Quite often, the consequences translate to regrets only.”
Giving a breakdown of the 3,271 undergraduate students, Pate added that Faculties indicates that “Agriculture admitted 146; Education 876; Humanities 269; Management Science 398; Social Sciences 851 and Science 731.
