…. says insecurity in some northern states disturbing
The Forum of Secretaries to the Governments of the 19 Northern States has held its meeting, preparatory to a high level deliberations by the 19 Northern States Governors.



The Forum under the Chairmanship of the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, is expected to draw up agendas for deliberation by the 19 Northern Governors in a meeting scheduled today, the 30th of April 2014.
Declaring the meeting open, the chairman of the Forum of Secretaries to Governments of the 19 Northern States Njodi praised the impressive turn out of members of the Forum saying it sits well with the commitment of Northern Nigeria to unite and forge a common front.



Professor Njodi used the opportunity to commend the determination of some Northern Governors who recently travelled to the United States to deliberate and seek for solutions to teething challenges bedevilling the region.
While empathising with some Northern States experiencing the menace of banditry and other criminal activities, Njodi stressed that no amount of sacrifice made by anyone for the sake of peace will be consider too big or small.
“Even if we have to go to the US or Palestinian that is currently in a war situation to seek for help, so be it; so long as such efforts will pay off, I think it is a welcome development,” he said




The chairman of the Northern SGS Forum equally thanked his colleagues for their resilience and steadfastness in the face of daunting challenges, encouraging them to remain committed to the success of their principals the Governors.
Meanwhile, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, and Chairman of Northern Governors Forum is expected to chair the governor’s meeting expected to deliberate on the overall development of Northern Nigeria.
