New Gombe State National Youth Service Corps Coordinator, Mrs Chinwe Nwachukwu, has assumed office.
On Monday, she paid courtesy visit to Gombe State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Adamu Pantami.
Accompanied by her immediate predecessor, Mr Dawut Jidda, who has been transferred to Jigawa State after serving in Gombe for the past 10 months.
Our correspondent reports that Nwachukwu, before her transfer, was stationed at the NYSC North Central Area Office in Minna.
Welcoming the coordinator, to the ministry Pantami lauded the existing relationship between NYSC and the state government, “We are delighted to have Mrs. Chinwe Nnenna Nwachukwu join us here in Gombe. I am optimistic that she will enjoy her tenure and make a positive impact on our youth and community development initiatives,” he said.
Pantami also took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to the outgoing Coordinator, Jidda, for his dedicated service during his tenure in Gombe adding, “We appreciate Mr. Jidda’s selfless contributions to the NYSC and wish him success in his new assignment in Jigawa State.”
Speaking earlier, Nwachukwu expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and pledged her commitment to advancing the objectives of the NYSC in Gombe State, adding, “I am honoured to be entrusted with this responsibility and look forward to collaborating with stakeholders to create meaningful opportunities for the youth in Gombe.”
