….. Warns against arbitrary redeployment
Following extreme heat in Gombe State, Director-General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, on Monday gifted batch A stream II corps members 15 fans to ameliorate the harsh weather condition.

Ahmed who was at Amada temporary orientation camp in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe on the spot assessment of corps members welfare lauded corps members conduct.
Other items donated by the DG include three cows, which he urged officials to allow corps participate in its preparation, as well as 80 packs of soft drinks, cash rewards to some camp leaders, parade commander, man O war, and the cultural dancer.



The DG while expressing his admiration for batch added, ” I am becoming attached to this camp, for this, I’m offering the corps members three fat cows and 80,00 packs of maltina, the cow must be cooked by the corps members. Also, the camp will get 15 Oxford fans.”

Ahmed encouraged them to abide by the laid down rules and regulations, “to avoid facing the camp court”, urging them to resume early to their Places of Primary Assignment, “Please, and please stay wherever you are posted to, do not indulge in unnecessary redeployment.”
On how corps members can benefit from loan opportunities, Ahmed harped the need to have basic skills to fit in, ” All you need to do is apply for it and write out your business plan.You need to have a skill in your hands and also always dress well for you to be addressed well.”
On her part, Gombe State Coordinator of NYSC Chinwe Nwachuku, lauded the DG for prioritising the welfare of corps members.
Nwachuku commended the conduct of the batch saying “they are well behaved.”
