The All Progressives Congress National Persons With Disabilities Stakeholders, and Leaders Forum, on Tuesday decried an online publication by Sentry Times, widely shared and allegedly attributed to Chief Eric Ndubueze Ufom.
Ufom had called for the reinstatement of Dr Betta Edu as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

According to a press statement signed by concerned members of APC National PWDs stakeholders Forum and National PWDs movement, which was obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA the alleged publication is unfortunate.
The Forum noted that Nwabueze lacked the capacity and capability to represent the interest of PWDs following his long absence from the country.
The statement partly read, “It’s unfortunate that Chief Eric Ndubueze Ufom, who’s not even based in Nigeria and don’t know how many of us we PWDs had been suffering under her 6 months as minister is using his self appointed, unrecognised and unknown group termed as ‘Nigerian PWDs Leaders and pioneers‘ which many of us never heard it existence simply because he’s one of the beneficiary of her six months as minister because it’s clear he already exposed himself when he said in his publication that she approved his proposals.
“To set the record straight, Nigerian PWDs Leaders including the Senior Special Assistant to President Tinubu, National PWDs Movement and various groups have been calling for the appointment of competent and incorruptible person with PWDs and vulnerable at heart to handle the affairs of the ministry for the benefits of not only PWDs but also IDP, Widows, Orphans and other less privilege to promote Renewed Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu toward vulnerables and less privilege including PWDs.
“Recall that the embattled suspended Minister, Dr Betta Edu, was accused by anti corruption agencies for authorising the payment of N585 million into a private account, Kogi airport scandals etc and for anyone or his self appointed group to call for her reinstatement is like supporting corruption and mismanagement which will be a serious setback to President Tinubu’s administration fight against corruption and it’s integrity.”
While stating the group’s resolve the stakeholders disclosed that Nigerian PWDs APC Supporters, leaders and stakeholders are not corrupt and doesn’t in anyway support corruption and mismanagement.
“We urge the general public to disregard the so called publication as it doesn’t in any way represent the voice of Nigerian PWDs leaders but self appointed person with few people being used to carry their hidden motives,” the statement added.
