The Gombe State Police Command on Friday announced the arrest of three suspected drug peddlers in Hayin-Kwarin Misau, Akko Local Government Area.
Our correspondent reports that the suspects include Mubarak Usman, 21, Abubakar Suleiman, 22, and Fahad Salihu, 21.
According to ASP Buhari Abdullahi, the command’s Public Relations Officer, the three were notorious for drug distribution adding that they supplied hoodlums popularly known as ‘kalare boys’.
Abdullahi said, “We received information from a good Samaritan about the activities of who were suspected to be notorious drug cartels collaborating with thugs known as ‘kalare Boys’.”
He disclosed that the police launched a well-coordinated raid operation in the area and arrested the suspects, recovering various exhibits, including “some quantities of exol tablets, Lara tablets, Valium five, Tramadol capsules, dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and two scissors,” he added.
Abdullahi stated, “The suspects confessed to their crime and will soon be charged to court for prosecution.” The police commend the good Samaritan who provided the information that led to the arrest and urge the public to continue supporting the police in their efforts to combat crime.”
