Teachers be like potters wey dey use chalk and clay,

Bake young minds under night and day,

After parents na teachers be the next gods we dey see,

Dem no dey only teach us how to count A to Zees,

Dem dey tell us sey we fit be the best if we wan be,

Teaching na calling and teachers na angels,

Wey dey shape us both fundamentally and mentally,

Dem be unsung heroes wey dey use love water our talents,

Nurture us with patience to meet up with challenges,

And become useful citizens wey dey balanced and gallant,

Education na passport for the future,

And teachers na pilots wey dey prepare people for life adventure,

Anything wey I be today, na my teacher point me for the right direction,

I dey pay attention and dem no dey shut me down if I ask question,

Dem straighten all my rough edges to perfection,

Teaching na one umbrella wey cover other professions,

Every doctor, nurse or lawyer get academic intervention,

Anybody wey sabi read book suppose comot gele for im teacher,

Their reward suppose start from earth and no dey so meagre,

Teachers na candles wey dey burn make others fit see road like good leaders.
