The United Nations Children’s Fund Bauchi Field Office has announced the launch of the second edition of ‘Lafiyyayun Yara’, slated for April 2025.
The field office includes Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Taraba States.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the newsletter in the indigenous language Lafiyyayun Yara, is aimed at promoting children’s rights and welfare in the region.
Confirming this on Saturday in a group message to working journalists, Opeyemi Olagunju, Communications Officer at UNICEF Bauchi Field Office, disclosed that the newsletter focus on key issues affecting children, including access to education, healthcare, protection, nutrition, and overall wellbeing.
“We hope to amplify our joint efforts with governments in the Field Office region, share progress, and provide insights into how we can contribute to creating positive change for children,” Olagunju stated.
While expressing gratitude to journalists for their supports, Olagunju harped on the need for continued efforts in advocating for children’s rights in the field office, “The edition highlights the office’s activities over the past year, with the next edition scheduled for release in April 2025,” he added.
