In a strategic effort to boost moral, operational efficiency and effectiveness, the Commander Corp of Artillery (CCA), Major General Zakari Abubakar, and his entourage paid an operational visit to 301 Artillery Regiment (AR) General Support (GS) Gombe.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that upon arrival he was warmly received by the quarter guard at the 301 AR New Barracks along Yola road Gombe.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Captain Mazinho Attah, acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support) Gombe Nigerian Army.
The visit underscored the ongoing efforts to sustain pressure on terrorists, and other criminal elements within the Regiment operational area of responsibility as well as recording the progress assessment and challenges of the Regiment.
During the visit, the Commander 301 AR (GS) Colonel AM Mohammed welcomed the CCA to the Regiment and thereafter presented a comprehensive overview of the Regiment’s operational activities, highlighting the successes achieved under his command, as well as the challenges faced.
He emphasised the crucial role of effective command principles in securing victories against adversaries.
In his remarks, the CCA noted that the visit provided an opportunity to engage with Commanders and assess areas requiring support.
He commended the Commander 301 AR (GS) for his unwavering commitment and collaborative efforts in maintaining security within the Regiment’s area of operational responsibility.
Furthermore, the Chief Vulcan urged the Commander 301 AR (GS) to sustain the impressive successes made and assured troops of better welfare packages for maximum and efficient professionalism at all times.
The brief was attended by Commander 33 Artillery Brigade Brigadier General UG Simon, senior officers and officers.
Highlights of the familiarisation visit includes tree planting, signing of visitors’ note book, tour of new and old Barracks, presentation of plaques and group photographs.
