A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Taraba State, Chief David Sabo Kente, has urged Governor Agbu Kefas, to use the remaining two years of his administration to rebuild trust that Tarabans voted him for.
Chief Kente gave the advice while saluting Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Democracy day, he urged the governor to undertake actions that will rebuild trust from the citizens.
The APC chieftain also call on the governor to intensify efforts towards delivering good governance that the citizens yearns for.
“I wish to urge governor Agbu Kefas to use the remaining two years of his administration to rebuild trust from Tarabans. He must have to intensify decisive efforts towards delivering good governance that the citizens yearns for.
“Our citizens are yearning for tangible development, improved infrastructure and access to social amenities. The promises made must be translated into action to alleviate the hardships faced by our people,” Chief Kente urged.
The former APC gubernatorial contender, also call on the citizens to be patient, support progressive ideas that would restore hope and build a prosperous Taraba that would be rank top, on the global map of development.
“As we celebrate this year’s Democracy day, I wish to urge Tarabans to work together, support progressive ideas to restore hope and build a prosperous Taraba. While I salute Nigerians on the occasion, I wish to call on Tarabans to protect democracy in our State jealously. I urge you to be patient and reflect on the immense benefits democracy has brought to our state and the nation.
“The right to vote, the freedom to express our views, and the opportunity to hold our leaders accountable, are privileges we must cherish and protect.
“In fact, this day stands as a solemn tribute to the sacrifices of our forebears, particularly, late Chief MKO Abiola, whose unwavering commitment to democratic ideals continues to inspire us all.
“June 12 is not merely a date; it’s a symbolises our collective resolve to uphold the principles of freedom, justice, and equity that defines our democratic journey.
“It’s stands as a defining chapter in our national consciousness. A day that symbolizes the triumph of the people’s will over dictatorship,” Chief Kente expressed.
