The Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has renewed its commitment to safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure across the state.
The State Commandant, Jibrin Idris, made this known during a strategic meeting with Heads of Departments, Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Officers.
The meeting, according to him, was convened to review the Command’s operational framework, strengthen intelligence gathering, and reinforce proactive security measures.

Addressing the officers, Commandant Idris urged them to remain steadfast in their mandate of protecting both public and private assets. He stressed the importance of discipline, professionalism, and collaboration with community stakeholders as essential drivers of effective law enforcement and modern security management.

The Commandant further directed Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to intensify round-the-clock vigilance over critical assets, enhance surveillance, and promote intelligence sharing to sustain security gains and prevent acts of vandalism.
He also charged them to strengthen stakeholder engagement, maintain synergy with other security agencies, and convene consultative meetings with key actors on the protection of national assets within their jurisdictions.
Reassuring residents of Gombe State of the Corps’ readiness to maintain safety, law, and order, Idris called on members of the public to support the NSCDC with timely and credible information to help curb crime and vandalism.
