Professor Gheghe of Gheghe University has conferred the controversial “Mumu Lover of the Year” award on popular figure Peller, citing what he described as overwhelming evidence of poor judgment and repeated disregard for personal safety that recently surfaced online.
The recognition follows a wave of viral videos and reports showing Peller repeatedly visiting the residence of his lover, Jarvis, and publicly appealing to her under circumstances that generated widespread attention and debate on social media. The incidents, which came in the aftermath of a reported relationship breakdown, raised serious conversations online about boundaries, emotional decision-making, and self-awareness.

Despite mixed public reactions, the university leadership explained that the award was intended as a satirical but reflective recognition, aimed at drawing lessons from real-life situations rather than glorifying controversy.
Speaking during the brief presentation, Professor Gheghe stated that the honour was not meant to mock or encourage unsafe behaviour, but to highlight the importance of emotional intelligence, self-respect, and learning from personal experiences. He noted that Peller’s actions opened up conversations many people shy away from, making the situation socially instructive.
The award has since sparked intense reactions across social media platforms. While some users congratulated Peller and viewed the recognition as humorous and thought-provoking, others questioned the message being sent. Nonetheless, Gheghe University maintained that the honour aligns with its values of reflection, resilience, and personal growth.
