The Gombe State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mohammed Waziri, has urged staff of the Ministry to emulate the knowledge, dedication, and exemplary conduct of the retiring Permanent Secretary, Mr Mohammed Dantata Ndus.

The Commissioner made the call on Thursday in his office in Gombe during the signing and formal handing-over ceremony.
He described Mr Ndus as a seasoned administrator who devoted 35 years of meritorious service to the public service, noting that he performed credibly in all assignments entrusted to him.

According to the Commissioner, the experience, discipline, and leadership qualities demonstrated by the outgoing Permanent Secretary should serve as a model for staff, stressing that such virtues are critical to effective service delivery and institutional growth.
Earlier, before the signing and formal transfer of leadership to the Director of Administration and Finance, Malam Aliyu Hamza Abdulkadir, the retiring Permanent Secretary, Ndus, called on staff of the Ministry to remain united and work together “as one family” for the development of the Ministry.
He encouraged staff to see themselves as colleagues bound by a common purpose, describing the Ministry as “one room” where unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding must prevail.
He also commended the Commissioner for his leadership, support, and cooperation throughout his tenure, which he said contributed significantly to the achievements recorded by the Ministry.
