Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, was abuzz with activities as the Wife of Nigeria’s President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, launched the North-East Community Food Bank Programme aimed at providing nutritious food to vulnerable households across the region.

The First Lady also commissioned newly constructed schools and a nursing quarters, and performed the symbolic presentation of 2,000 sewing machines, alongside a grant of ₦100,000 each, to 2,000 women across the state to support their income-generating activities.
In addition to these engagements, Senator Oluremi Tinubu presented eight brand-new cars to deserving staff of the Ministry of Education who distinguished themselves in their duties.
The architect of the newly constructed schools, nursing quarters, and empowerment initiatives, Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, along with ministers and the representative of the Gombe State Governor, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, were on hand to deliver messages of solidarity and hope in the face of adversity.
The Wife of the Gombe State Governor and Chairperson of the Wives of Northern States Governors’ Forum, Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, was also among the entourage accompanying the First Lady.
