The leadership of Concerned Youth Stakeholders of the NDC has announced a 50 per cent reduction in the cost of the party’s intent and nomination forms for young aspirants across the country.

The group said the decision followed a high-level meeting with the National Leader of the party, where the need to encourage greater youth participation in politics and leadership was discussed.

Speaking after the meeting, the National Lead of Concerned Youth Stakeholders, NDC, Zakari Burra, said the engagement was aimed at making the political process more inclusive and accessible to young people.
“Today, the leadership of Concerned Youth Stakeholders, NDC, represented by myself and the National Secretary, Rtn. Emeka Luis Okoro MNCS, jointly met with the National Leader of our great party to discuss a matter of great importance to the youth,” Burra said.
According to him, the delegation presented a request for a 50 per cent reduction in the price of nomination forms for youths seeking elective positions under the platform of the party.
“Our engagement focused on the cost of the NDC party intent and nomination forms. In the interest of youth participation and inclusiveness, we presented the demand for a 50 per cent reduction in the price of forms for young aspirants across the country,” he stated.
Burra expressed appreciation to the National Leader for approving the request, describing the decision as a demonstration of the party’s commitment to empowering young people.
“We are delighted that the National Leader approved this request, showing his strong commitment to empowering young people and creating opportunities for them to actively participate in leadership and democratic processes,” he added.
He also commended the national leadership of the party, particularly the National Chairman and National Secretary, for supporting what he described as a youth-friendly initiative.
“This decision confirms that NDC is truly a youth-driven party — a platform that believes in the energy, vision, and leadership potential of young people,” Burra said.
He called on youths across the country to take advantage of the opportunity by participating actively in the political process.
“We call on all youths across the nation to rise, get involved, and seize this opportunity. The future belongs to those who participate, and NDC has shown clearly that the youth are central to its mission,” he said.
