Former Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali-Pantami, has received a Certificate of Return from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), confirming his status as the party’s governorship candidate for Gombe State in the 2027 election.

Pantami, who emerged as the PDP candidate on May 26, was presented with the certificate on Wednesday during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and inauguration of its 2026–2030 National Executive Committee at the PDP national headquarters in Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the Pantami Media Team, the event was presided over by the PDP National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed.
The statement noted that the party used the occasion to present Certificates of Return to governorship candidates whose nominations had been recognised and published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the PDP’s duly nominated candidates for the 2027 general elections.
It stated that Pantami was among the candidates presented with the certificates, describing the development as confirmation of his position as the party’s officially recognised governorship flag bearer in Gombe State.
“The PDP presented Certificates of Return to its governorship candidates for the 2027 elections whose names have been recognised and published by INEC as the party’s duly nominated candidates,” the statement said.
The media team described the presentation as a significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 governorship election in Gombe State.
