Nwaorisara Kanu, Gombe
The secretary to the Gombe state government Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, says he is unhappy over the slow pace of renovation work at the special advisers office complex situated at the Government House. He stated his displeasure on thursday, while on an inspection visit to ascertain the readiness of the complex.
According to a press statement which was made available by the Information Officer to the SSG, Joshua Danmalam. Prof. Njodi, tasked contractors to ensure that work is delivered according to schedule.
“You know we just swore in Commissioners and Special advisers and we want to hit the ground running. Governor Inuwa Yahaya has since awarded this contract for the renovation of the office complex so as to provide a conducive working environment for the advisers”.
He noted that the hallmark of the present administration, led by Governor Yahaya, is to see to it that all awarded contracts are delivered promptly . He therefore called on the contractor to justify the confidence the state government has reposed on him.
In the same vein, Prof. Njodi visited the Due process office where he assured members of staff of the present administration’s
commitment to providing a conducive working environment.
