Gombe fold still intact -APC official reveals

**says no room to accommodate those that resigned amidst the crisis

Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Moses Kyari has indicated that the recently held reconciliation instituted by the Buni led executive has helped to douse disaffection within its rank.

Kyari made this disclosure on Sunday, in a telephone interview with  our correspondent, while debunking insinuations that there would be a repeat to congresses in the state.

Recall that some party executives resigned their positions recently, following the frosty relationship between the governor Muhammadu Yahaya and Senator Danjuma Goje.

He revealed that the Gombe APC is better placed to surmount challenges in the 2023 polls, revealing that the crisis has left the party more rejuvenated to take head-on issues that may arise in the future.

Kyari said, “Reconciliation has taken place. However, there was never at any point in time a contemplation for a repeat of congresses in Gombe State on the basis that Goje made a request. it is not true and it has been addressed by the Press Secretary to Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe that there was nothing like that.”

Commenting about the stand of the party regarding those that resigned their appointments, following the crisis the spokesman added, “They have left their offices and will not come back because nobody asked them to leave the party.”

Attempts made by our correspondent to reach loyalists of the former governor  Goje, proved abortive as some of them claimed they were yet to be briefed by Senator representing Gombe Central on his stand.
