2000 physically challenged, women, less privileged benefit from Gombe State First Lady’s empowerment programme
Again, Gombe State first lady, Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, has distributed empowerment tools to 2000 women, physically challenged and less privileged in the state to support them fend for themselves during these economic hardship bedeviling the society today.

Commencing the distribution of the empowerment tools at the women centre in the ministry of women affairs Gombe, the governor’s wife, reiterated the government’s commitment towards ensuring even and equitable distribution of dividends of democracy to the people, emphasizing that the first lady’s office would continue to assist women with what it takes to improve their livelihood by developing their potentials to become financially self reliant.

The state commissioner of women affairs , Mrs Naomi J. J.Awak, commended the First Lady , Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya for her passion in helping the poor and vulnerable by not only putting food on their table, but by providing them with requisite skills and knowledge on how to make ends meet.
The commissioner then assured the governor’s wife of the full support of Gombe women who are solemnly behind the government of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for carrying them along in all strata of government, thereby giving them a sense of belonging.

In the same vain, the state APC women leader, Hajiya Lumbi Abubakar and some beneficiaries of the first lady’s gesture appreciated the continued assistance of the First Lady with the assurance to remain strongly united and shun all rumors and political propaganda, so that together, they stand for Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s government in years to come.

Highlights of the occasion was the distribution of the empowerment tools by Dr. Asma’u Inuwa which include; tricycles, grinding and sewing machines.
