GoHealth proposes 3.5% monthly deductions to cover principal retiree,  spouse

The Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (GoHealth), has proposed 3.5% deductions for retirees in the state, ahead of the rollout of the GoHealth retiree package under the formal sector programme.

Making this known at a Congress of the  Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries, Gombe State, the GoHealth team, led by the Director Planning Research and Statistics, walked the members through the establishment of GoHealth, and how it aims to ensure universal health coverage across the state.

Revealing the prepayment arrangement to the Congress, the Agency’s Operations Manager, Dr. Gideon Maspara, noted that the prepayment arrangement is for a Principal enrollee and a spouse for 3.5% single deduction. Dr. Maspara added that GoHealth is a social insurance scheme that is characterised by cross subsidisation for all beneficiaries coverage in the GoHealth pool.

Speaking on behalf of the Retired Permanent Secretary, the Chairman of the Association Com. Aliyu M. Kamara thanked GoHealth for their audience and promised to work closely with the agency going forward.
