The 2023 Batch’A’ Stream I Corps members have been charged to take the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development post camp training seriously.
Mrs Ada Imoni, the State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, made that known at the Closing Ceremony and Exhibition, held on Friday at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada Gombe State.
She maintained that the ten-day hands-on training had been packaged to arouse their interest in the programme free of charge, in order to stem the tide of unemployment.
Speaking on funding options, Imoni said the Scheme is in collaboration with financial Institutions to give out loans to Corps members to start up businesses for self reliance, urging them to continue with the post camp training, in order to be masters of their chosen skills.
At the end of the beautiful Exhibition, Platoon three emerged overall best in hands-on training for coming first position in barbing and make up and gele.
Platoon 1 came first in beads making and Platoon 6 came first in fashion design and Tailoring.
