While commending the improved officiating, he lauded the efforts of the boys stressing,”I feel very great. The boys played well. They are good, wonderful and ready players. We are one ahead, came back and got the final winning. We thank God for the success.
“It is a great one. We will keep working hard till we get there. Top 6 is our aim and we will get there.
“The officiating is good and all the teams are trying to perform well. There is no bias officiating.”
On his part, Chief Coach of Niger Tornadoes Umar Farouk, commended the efforts of his side, adding that they didn’t follow their agreed instructions.
He said, “It is a very competitive game. It was a good fight. Both teams gave good account of themselves and I like the spirit of Doma.
“We had a game plan. They are a good side also. They picked draw away and we know they want to come home and consolidate. We also picked our 3 points with a very good margin and we know our strategy of getting points outside which they may want to use against us of which we planned well and succeeded. Unfortunately, at the end of the game, they took the day.
“Not too disappointed but disappointed because what we asked our players especially from the rear not to do, he came in and did it. That was our plan. We planned that since we didn’t get it first half, we would surprise them by getting it in the second half and seal the game but at the end of the game, they picked the day.”
