Eid-el-kabir: CEO Halimafactor Community Initiative distributes foodstuffs to 50 indigent persons in Kumo
The Chief Executive Officer of Halimafactor Community Initiative, Halima Usman, on Tuesday empowered no fewer than 50 indigent persons with assorted foodstuffs in Kumo.

The magnanimity tagged Kumo Outreach, the CEO said was her attempt to give back to the community, adding that it was a gesture she inherited from her late father, whose love for the poor knew no boundaries as he alot of times gave his all without minding the consequences.
According to Usman, “Before my father died in 2005, his house used to be a place where all people come to eat or collect food for their families. So many times our food will be finished before the next harvest because he has given all the food out.”
Usman who was too emotional to speak said the act of love was something her late father was known, for adding that “Today (Tuesday) in his honour (May Allah forgive him). I will be distributing food to some of his neighbours and friends at the place where he lived and died. If he was alive, he would have done same or even more for them.”
She explained that the beneficiaries were carefully selected especially those who found it difficult to feed.
“Most of the people given the food were the most vulnerable in the area. Most of them as I learned could hardly feed themselves considering the recent hike in food prices,” Usman added.
The Philanthropist and community leader while explaining the relevance of her show of love on Tuesday said, “Today is Arafat Day, the most important day in Islam, and in honour of a devote Muslim (late father). I did this to help those who might not be able to provide for themselves something to eat tomorrow (Wednesday) being Sallah.”
