Gombe Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, alongside top government officials paid condolence visit to Kalorgu Community of Kaltungo Local Government Area to convey Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, government and people of Gombe State grief to Petto’s family.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that Maryamu Petto was the younger sister to APC Chieftain Lantarki Petto, a close ally to Njodi.
She passed on Monday at the age of 62 after a protracted illness.
Njodi while consoling the bereaved family, enjoined them to be comforted over the huge loss as death is a necessary end of all mortals citing a Biblical phrase ” from dust we came and into dust we shall return, while praying God to comfort the family and Kalorgu community.
Reacting, on behalf of the family, Yusuf Kela Lai expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for sending such high-powered government delegation to commiserate with them at their moment of bereavement, stressing that the family will forever remember such show of love by the state government.
