Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has approved the appointment of Mr Paul Tino, as the state Head of Civil Service.
A statement issued by Mr Yusuf Sanda, Chief Press Secretary to Kefas, indicates that the development was due to the retirement of the former Head of Civil Service, and Governor Kefas’ desire to fill same on merit and qualification.
The statement also indicated that the appointment follow the completion, submission and recommendation of the screening and recommendation committee for a qualified and suitable candidate for the position.
“The screening and recommendation committee for a qualified and suitable candidate for the position was to ensure fairness. All the 35 Permanent Secretaries in the State were invited for the exercise by the Committee where only 15 of them presented themselves for the robust screening.
“Out of the 15, 7 candidates scored between 66-86 points and were recommended as suitable candidates before the Governor, while Mr. Paul Maigida Tino scored the highest point in the final test to make him the most qualify candidate for the appointment,” the statement partly read.
