According to Justice Mohammed, “the elevation of these judges comes with the confidence that they will serve with fairness, diligence, and adherence to the rule of law.”
She urged them to uphold the values of integrity, impartiality, and a profound sense of justice, reminding them that “the trust placed in you by the public is sacrosanct”.
The Chief Judge also commended the experienced Area Court worships participating in the refresher course, stating that “the commitment to lifelong learning is the hallmark of a truly exemplary judicial officer.” She emphasized the importance of efficient case management, saying, “justice delayed is justice denied”.
On his part, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, Chairman of the Gombe State Area Court Judges Association, praised Justice Mohammed for the record-breaking appointment of 46 Area Court judges, describing it as “monumental” in filling the vacuum created by retirements or incapacities among the lower courts.
